Objective :

The English Department has as an objective to guide our students in the learning of English as a second language and creating an atmosphere of confidence and openness where they can express themselves using the proper tools and strategies.
The students will be using qualified, hands on material to motivate them to understand grammar, build on vocabulary and develop their listening and speaking skills while giving them the ability to expand their knowledge about other cultures, their ways of living and traditions. In a technological sense, the students will be able to use the internet with more facility to do research, study abroad and interact with people from other countries.
All of these tools and strategies used and combined properly will enable our students to prepare themselves to confront a more competitive world and a future filled with many positive advantages and opportunities.

The English department has planed a serial of activities that help students to increase their motivation and English level.

These activities are:

Saint Valentine’s Day.

February 14 is a special day for sweet hearts. It was once thought to be the time of year when a chubby little love god named Cupid aimed his arrows at the hearts of young men and women.

English Day

In this activity  students are going to have the opportunity to show the skills  they have acquired during English classes.

Performance 
It is a great opportunity to keep in touch with native speakers  who perform really funny and interesting plays according to  students´ age and level. 

Our main proposal in 2010:
